Today Yesterday and going Forward
A song describing a person who has questions trying to define himself. Can anyone define themselves outside of Christ? Today, yesterday and going forward, who can say they haven’t at one time or another thought or asked questions about their destiny? Will I be rich? Will I be successful? Who will I marry?
Famous Doris Day song “Whatever Will Be Will Be”
I loved the song, “Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be Will Be)” but never felt quite good or comforted when the song ended. I felt more than ever perplexed as to what I’ll be when I grow up and unsure of myself without hope! It seemed to passively suggest destiny, “whatever happens” to control a person’s life instead of asserting control back to the person.
In contrast the “Who am I” song video
In contrast, the “Who am I” song video, describes the searching soul, one that is crying out to God for answers for help in life! Such as who am I, where am I going and can I define myself? The plea is interrupted by a comforting narrative, a reply from God assuring that He is there to help you through life’s challenges!
In my opinion
In my opinion, one cannot find life’s purposes without searching and listening to the whisper of God speaking His answers in life. Ask yourself, what is the most important decision in your life to make? Everyone in life is here for a purpose and is tested by God to know how they will respond to Him! Will you make Jesus the anchor of your life or continue in the world system and reject Him?
The Narrow Gate Matthew 7:14
13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.
