When Troubling Times are Ahead!
The Tune, “This I know”, is about who do you Trust in Troubled times? It’s hiking through a sparkling clear water Canyon! Many Christians are under fear and need to lighten up a bit! Here are my thoughts of Escaping Troubled Times? A video to lighten up your day for sure!
When troubling times are ahead and we go through uncharted trials, it seems that everything around us is crumbling! We look for an anchor to rest our thoughts on! How are you going to weather the storm? Is your faith built on sand which the world offers or built on the Sold Rock and the Foundation of Jesus?
Circumstances may dictate horror and fear or we might look at circumstances straight in the face and treat them as an opportunity to see things in a different light as a playground of uncharted discoveries! Difficult times eventually come to an end. If not in this life, then certainly in the next for those who Trust in Jesus as their Savior from sin.
You can take just about any Psalm in the Bible and reflect on encouragement from the Lord. David was a man after Gods own heart! The Psalms are King David’s heart reflecting on God’s heart and His kindness and mercy to him. For example, as I read today in psalm 23 for encouragement:
5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
If you notice, many of the psalms start out in fear, horror, trials, pain, forsaken loyalty of friends, hardships, death, life and the lists go on. Just about all the pains David went through in his journey in this world are the many that we experience today. So, grab a psalm each day and reflect on God’s mercy and kindness toward you! You will be reading less, if any at all of man’s help books and relying on God to pull you through life’s difficulties.
